Mission Statement
The Asian American Student Association (AASA) of the University of Georgia serves to assist the University in meeting the needs of the Asian American student body. AASA works to promote and provide a cultural and political awareness of Asian American customs and diversity. To these aims the AASA shall be to encourage cultural diversity, articulate the concerns of Asian students, and cultivate relationships with other student organizations and the Athens-Clarke County community.
Objectives
- To enhance understanding among Asian Americans of different nationalities and their backgrounds
- To advance social awareness and growth of Asian American college students
- To promote interaction between the students of the University of Georgia through club-sponsored events
- To educate the greater university community
